Top 5 2009 Fantasy Football Rookies

The 2009 NFL draft is over and I have targeted my top five impact rookies for next year along with a couple bonus picks and a sleeper. Of course, to be drafted in the NFL a player has to be extremely talented, however their background and the situation that they inherit has a lot to do with how much of an impact they can have in their rookie campaign. Here are my top five rookies to keep your eye on in your fantasy draft this year:

1. Knowshon Moreno RB Denver Broncos- One of the most explosive players in the draft this year, Moreno should be given every opportunity to succeed in Denver after not being able to keep running backs healthy last year. One of the few every down backs nowadays, Knowshon can do it all. He is very durable and will be especially valuable in point per reception leagues because he can catch the ball well. The Broncos offense features a very good receiver group lead by Brandon Marshall, will now be quarterbacked by Kyle Orton who

Detroit Lions Tickets – Coaching Search Narrows

Detroit Lions Tickets – Coaching Search Narrows

The Detroit Lions made history this season, but not in a good way. They became the only team in all of NFL history to finish the season 0-16. While this record wasn’t one that team’s fight for, it did equal some hope for fans as it meant the team would have to go for a major overhaul in the offseason. First, they fired president Matt Millen midway through the season. Coach Rod Marinelli knew he was next, and sure enough, the Lions cut him loose at the end of the season. Other teams who dropped their coaches at the end of the season, like the Cleveland Browns and the Denver Broncos, have already chosen replacements, and the Lions seem to be getting closer to picking their next leader as well. Two of the front runners seem to be Todd Bowles and Jim Schwartz. Be there for the next era with Detroit Lions tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/detroit-lions-tickets.

Schwartz has reportedly already been back for a second interview with the Lions, which means a

He will Huff and Puff and Shut Down Your Running Game

Baseball might be known as the national past-time, but there is little debate about what sport Americans are most passionate about, and that is NFL football. In many sports markets around the nation, the NFL is a topic that never leaves the radio airwaves regardless of the time of year. It is late April, the 2006 MLB season is off and running, and just in case you haven’t noticed, the NHL and NBA playoffs have actually already begun. But turn on your favorite sports talk radio station and the NFL draft is dominating all other topics in the world of sports.

The hot debate this year is what the Houston Texans will do with the number one overall pick. Will they take can’t-miss RB from USC Reggie Bush? Or is hometown boy QB Vince Young the way they will go? We know Matt Leinart is no longer a lock to go number two to the Saints, now that they have signed free agent QB Drew Brees. So is OT D’Brickashaw Ferguson a soon-to-be Saint? What will the

Nfl Tickets – Taking Tebow

Perhaps the biggest storyline of the 2010 Draft is where Florida quarterback Tim Tebow will be selected.  Tebow was one of the best players to ever play college football, securing two national titles and a Heisman Trophy in his tenure in Gainesville.  There are serious questions about how well his skills and game translate to the pros, though, and he is not expected to be a first-round pick come draft day.  Still, he’s one of the most popular and polarizing athletes in the nation and will certainly help whatever team drafts him sell NFL tickets.

There is some speculation that a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars will select Tebow earlier than expected in an attempt to help their ticket sales, but that is no certainty.  Many scouts doubt that Tebow can make it as a starting quarterback in the NFL.  One of the biggest reasons for that is Tebow’s throwing motion.  The former Gator had a long, drawn-out, looping delivery throughout his collegiate career and is only

NFL Tickets ? Second-Tier Quarterbacks

NFL Tickets ? Second-Tier Quarterbacks

Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen are essentially locks to be the first two quarterbacks selected in the 2010 NFL Draft.  Bradford is a cerebral guy that most people think should go number one overall, while Clausen is a fiery, tough signal caller that played in a pro-style offense in college.  There are more than two teams that need help at the quarterback position, though, and those organizations that miss out on Bradford and Clausen will look to the next tier of signal callers to address their needs.

First let’s take a look at the teams that could at least consider drafting a quarterback in the first three rounds:

St. Louis Rams: They desperately need a franchise QB and conventional wisdom has them selecting Bradford with the first overall pick.

Washington Redskins: They need a quarterback of the future for Mike Shanahan to groom and are definitely in the mix for a top signal caller at number four overall.

Seattle Seahawks: Unless they

Free football pick

The winning touchdown drive from the 49er’s against the Detroit Lions in the 1983 AFCD playoffs (12-31-1983)

Free football pick

Picking an upset in a Super Bowl like the San Diego Chargers over the San Francisco 49ers in the 1995 Super Bowl is like making a free football pick because the people who made the pick of Junior Seau and his crew over the likes of Steve Young and Jerry at least in most cases had very little or nothing to lose and a lot of money to gain, essentially making such a selection a free football pick. Of course the Chargers ended up losing that game as Steve Young finally got the “never won a Super Bowl like Joe Montana did” monkey off his back so maybe it wasn’t a free football pick for someone like Chargers owner Alex Spanos who probably would have seen increased revenues for his team the next year if they had won that game.

Many local restaurants will give away free promotions to promote the Super Bowl this includes free prizes such as hats or a free sandwich if a customer correctly picks the score of the game. So in a sense if a Green Bay Packers fan

Michael Crabtree And His Deal With the 49ers

Here are 49er highlights from Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. 49ers defeated the Seahawks 23-10.

Michael Crabtree And His Deal With the 49ers

Well, it took long enough.  After months of arguing and posturing, wide receiver Michael Crabtree has ended his holdout and signed with the San Francisco 49ers.

So far, there has been no hint from Crabtree’s side as to what the final contract pays Crabtree.  Usually the agent tends to leak this information, and since Crabtree’s agent has yet to do so, it makes sense to believe that the agent is not that proud of the final agreement.

An NFL source has said that the contract is for 6 years and million.  million is guaranteed just for signing (how about that for your autograph?)  If Crabtree performs well enough, the final year of the contract worth a base salary of million will be voided.  However, I understand that the qualifications for the final contract to be voided are so high that it is highly likely that this will turn out to be a 6-year deal.

For example, one of the stipulations is that Michael must make the Pro Bowl at
